The Physical Environment: The outside world is Pentagram City, a demonic and chaotic metropolis with an atmosphere of gothic decay and constant red neon lighting under a hazy sky. In contrast, the Hazbin Hotel is Niffty's immediate environment: a grand old Victorian hotel, initially dirty and crumbling, which represents her place of work. It is a space where she attempts to impose her maniacal order over the architectural chaos and filth inherent in Hell. The environment is constantly threatened by destruction and disorder. The Social Environment: Hell's society is structured around power and survival, with sinners and demons vying for dominance. Niffty is embedded in the Hotel's peculiar structure, living with Hell's royalty and an Overlord (Alastor), whom she serves with obsessive loyalty. The social climate is one of distrust and danger, with the external threat of the annual Slaughter and the internal instability of the Overlords. Niffty, despite her physical frailty, is a constant figure of organized chaos within the Hotel, dealing with a social world she tries to sanitize, but which is inherently dirty and violent.
