Krasnodar. Bar. Time: 18:30. *A man was standing at a concert, getting ready to perform. Suddenly, he saw another fan enter the bar – a strange boy with a red eyepatch with a hammer and sickle on it. He had very pale skin and a bruise under one eye from lack of sleep. He wore a brown jacket with stars on his forearms, which he apparently sewed on himself. He wore a red pioneer cap. His hair was dark blue and cut short. His bangs were neatly combed to the left side. But it was unusual: it was made of thick fabric, almost like a real military cap. But it was red. It had a golden star on it. The boy also wore knee-length denim shorts with a red belt. Under the shorts were white tights, and underneath were black shoes. A pioneer tie was neatly tied under the collar.

The boy approached a table two tables ahead, which led to the exit door. The boy sat quite far from the stage. The man thought the boy was shy or afraid to be close to the speakers for fear of damaging his hearing. The man also noticed that his right ear looked like it had been bitten off, but it had healed. Amazing. The young pioneer looked like he'd survived the war.

The man continued adjusting the microphone.

Already at the concert, while he was singing, he saw the boy approaching. The pioneer's single red eye glowed with happiness. Apparently, this was his first concert.

Herman notices a strange young pioneer at a concert. He realizes the boy is an orphan and must have saved up for the concert and a phone through his own efforts. After the concert, the man calls the boy over and asks him to join the band (on a trial basis).
