Mimicry - In the anime, as an extension of his newfound Saiyan biology, Black is also capable of imitating anything that he learns from his opponent in battle to add to his skill and versatility in combat. During his first fight against Goku, "engraved the battle memories" on his body, and thus enabled him to refine his fighting style to become more like Goku's. This allowed him to use the Saiyan body to its fullest efficiency. He also applied a similar method when fighting Vegeta, recognizing anger as source of power for Saiyans and mimicking that to further increase his power. Mass Replication - From the energy of the rift, Black is able to form many clones of himself known as Shadows.[24] The Shadows are unstable and if they were hit, they would disperse, but can immediately reform themselves after. They appear to have the same physical might as Black himself. The Shadows and the rift dissipate once Black goes too far away. God Binding Light Bullet - Bardock Black throws his opponent around using energy and then goes to finish them off with an energy sphere. Saiyan Power - Black is capable of gaining power boosts once recovering from harm caused by his enemies like other Saiyans. In the anime this ability appears more advanced than an ordinary Saiyans. Every single time Goku Black experiences pain, his power increases. Even minor injuries and moments of pain are able to cause noticeable boosts in his power. Even more, he appears able to recover from injuries much faster than normal Saiyans. In the manga, Bardock Black works in the normal nature, as only recovering from more serious injuries will boost his power, to which he also needed aid from Future Zamasu healing him before he could return to battle. Each time he uses this power up it allows his "god mind and Saiyan body" to tie further together, first allowing him to access his standard Super Saiyan form before his power finally surpassed Super Saiyan God, evolving his standard Super Saiyan form into his Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan form, Super Saiyan Rosé.

God Split Cut - Zamasu's signature attack, used by Zamasu after obtaining Bardock's body and becoming Goku Black to kill Bardock’s family. Instant Severance - It can be added to Rosé Goku Black's Custom skillset in Xenoverse 2 after the 1.15.00 Update. It can be added to Goku Black's custom skillset in Xenoverse 2 after the 1.19.00 Update. Alteration-type ki manipulation technique - A special ability used to extend his God Split Cut into various shapes as well as to change its properties. Only seen used in his Super Saiyan Rosé state. Violent Fierce God Slicer - After further refining his power, Black is able to use an enhanced version of the technique, he emits a blade of violet energy from his hand to slash and stab his opponent. It seems to be enhanced by the form's ki aura. In the manga, Black used this technique in his base form to mortally wound his former master, Gowasu. God Slicer Palm of Ashes - Black attacks his opponent with Violent Fierce God Slicer who dodges the slash but Black kicks them into the ground. He then fires an energy barrage at them that they dodge as well until Black grounds grab his opponents by their throats and fire a energy wave while holding them. God Slicer - One of Black's Special Attacks in FighterZ. Shattering God Slicer - The user kicks their opponent and slashes them multiple times with an Energy Blade. Azure Dragon Sword Model Energy Blade - An improved Violent Fierce God Slicer gained through powering up from being damaged by an enraged Goku in the anime. Divine Lasso - In Super Saiyan Rosé form, Black can shoot out multiple energy javelins from his blade that first pierce the target and then explode. One of Black's Ultimate Skills in Xenoverse Sickle of Sorrow - A more powerful version of the Violent Fierce God Slicer technique, attained by Bardock Black after he turned his anger into power in the anime. It became capable of opening a large rift in the universe to an unknown place or time which would release an evil energy.

Black Kamehameha - Black is shown to be able to use a black-colored version of the Kamehameha. Super Black Kamehameha - A stronger version of the Black Kamehameha used by Bardock Black in his Super Saiyan Rosé form. Binding Black Kamehameha - Future Zamasu restrains the opponent to prevent them from escaping, allowing Black to hit them with the Super Black Kamehameha (Future Zamasu's immortality leaves him unharmed). Godly Black Kamehameha - Used in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Kamehameha - It can be added to Goku Black's custom skillset in Xenoverse 2 after the 1.19.00 Update. Super Kamehameha - It can be added to Goku Black's custom skillset in Xenoverse 2 after the 1.19.00 Update. Spirit Control - An advanced Ki manipulation technique that allows its user to achieve a multitude of potent abilities through their ki. Instant Transmission - Used by Black several times in the manga in order to quickly get up close to Trunks and attack him and in the anime to avoid an attack from Goku. Sudden Death Beam - Bardock Black uses Instant Transmission to dodge attacks and get close to his opponent, then fires a point-blank Divine Retribution ki blast as a counterattack. This move is used by him in a brief clash with Goku. Warp Kamehameha - It can be added to Goku Black's Custom skillset in Xenoverse 2 after the 1.19.00 Update. Shockwave - After engraving Bardock's power into his own being he is shown using this technique while testing his new abilities. One of his Super Skills in Xenoverse 2 in his base form.

abilities: Techniques Flight - The ability to take flight through the manipulation of ki. Ki Blast - The most basic form of energy attack. Black is shown to use ki blasts while terrorizing Future Trunks' timeline. Ki Sense - The ability to sense ki and power levels. Continuous Energy Bullet - Black used this technique against Trunks. Black Power Ball - Black can create a golden colored Energy Ball with a core of black energy to attack the opponent. Once he fires it, the attack becomes completely golden with a black outline. Divine Retribution - A more powerful version of the Black Power Ball in Bardock Black's Super Saiyan Rosé state, he can either fire off the ki blast, or attack with a downward slash with his ki blade as a melee attack. Continuous Black Power Ball - A rapid fire version of the technique, appearing as small golden ki blasts with black outline. Human Extinction Attack - An aerial hailstorm-like energy barrage version of Continuous Black Power Ball. Holy Light Grenade - When used by Bardock Black and Future Zamasu, they both charge their Black Power Balls, whether for Black being the standard one or Divine Retribution as a Super Saiyan Rosé. Whether they raise it up or just fire it, it will combine to either an orange sun-like sphere or a bright purple energy sphere, again depending on if Black is in his Rosé form or not. Once launched, the Holy Light Grenade will turn into a meteor and explode on impact, inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Bardock Black shares the same personality as Goku Black since they are technically the same person in case of Zamasu. However, Zamasu, before establishing his plans, was a humble and and calm individual who would always listen to his teacher’s words. Though, he long harbored an utter hatred for mortals, perceiving them as a blasphemy and the gods' greatest mistake. He also came to hate the gods as well for not doing anything about their "mistake". After giving in to his desires, Zamasu mercilessly killed his former master as his first step down a dark path. Despite his cruel, aggressive, and certainly unsympathetic actions, even to his own kind, Zamasu feels perfectly vindicated, truly seeing no evil in his actions, after he scoured several timelines as proof that mortals are a corruption of existence as a whole that prevents it from becoming a true paradise.

He is also equipped with clothing exactly identical to Goku Black’s which is a dark-tight long sleeved shirt with an extended collar that covers about 45% - 50% of Bardock Black’s neck, black baggy pants, gray vest tightened with a large red belt which is not exactly a belt but more like a sash, and finally, extremely long white boots that seems to almost reach Bardock Black’s knees.

his appearance changes when he goes Super sayian rosé, this state is identical to the Super Saiyan Blue form in all but color: Black's hair takes on a pastel pink color with faint white highlights, with his eyebrows matching the color of his hair, and his eyes change to light gray. The aura's shape is very similar to that of Super Saiyan Blue's with major color differences; it has a very dark shade of red on the outside, while it has a more pinkish color on the inside; while the aura is present, Black's clothing becomes brighter, while his eyes appear as pink and the color of his hair and eyebrows become a slightly darker shade of pink.

Bardock Black also known as Zamasu though usually referred to as Black is the alternate incarnation of Zamasu and Bardock.
