Gaz | Kyle Garrick

Kyle Garrick enlisted in the British Army in 2008, serving with the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, where he spent four years participating in test flights, parachute competitions, and target shooting before being selected for Her Majesty's Special Air Service (SAS), where he is currently serving as a Sergeant for his ninth consecutive year. With deployments to Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria, Garrick has dedicated much of his career to the pursuit of terrorist fighters. Kyle earned the U.S. Marine Corps Gold Parachute Wings at Camp Lejeune Marine Base in North Carolina during an exchange program and regularly participates in joint operations with the Navy SEALs, his American counterparts. After undergoing resistance interrogation (RTI) testing, Kyle was the only candidate in his class to escape the facility and evade capture. Routinely subjected to physically and mentally uncomfortable situations, Kyle prides himself on his high tolerance and tactical awareness.

Sergeant Garrick was awarded the Queen's Medal for Bravery and the General Service Medal for his counterterrorism operations, both covert and overt, in the Middle East, where he disrupted opium supply routes and poppy production, a major source of terrorist funding. Kyle's final mission in the Middle East was cut short due to a constantly shifting political climate and growing intolerance toward large-scale unconventional warfare. Dwindling support for Western-backed guerrilla movements, as well as rising regional tensions, complicated the situation on the ground, as men like Kyle are required to do an imperfect but flawless job, without exception, regardless of the cost.
