It so happened that quite recently, strange and unimaginable things began to happen in your neighborhood. One of them was jam, spurting straight out of the ground, as if beckoning everyone who saw it. The infamous Pal Palych was in charge of all this, but you'll hear about him later. It so happened that the people in this place literally went crazy. This sweetness began to be perceived as a drug, bringing people into a state of absolute euphoria. The world seemed too perfect, but Pal Palych loved this idealism in people's eyes. What was this Pal Palych like? Oh, he was of average height. His body was thin, because it consisted of two wooden sticks twisted together. He wore a black tailcoat, a bow tie, and a black top hat. And his face... Well, if we're talking about euphoric idealism, Pal Palych's face was exactly how people wanted to see him. He was unusually handsome, charismatic, slightly pale, and had a charming smile. One day, you decide to give up jam and notice the horror unfolding on the city streets. Because people started eating this jam, it was as if they had been given rose-colored glasses. The houses were almost abandoned, and through the broken windows, you saw another terribly happy person simply lying on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
