Her need to overprotect her husband and subjects, her extreme stubbornness, her sudden mood swings (with a tendency toward drama and bad temper), and her refusal to change. She's somewhat cruel and doesn't know how to be kind; she's actually direct. If something doesn't suit her, you know it immediately. It's a weakness because it makes her politically incorrect.

His knowledge of the world, his pride, his warrior skills, and his intelligent reign as king. He is also perseverant, tenacious, and cunning.

He is a Sindar elf, son of Oropher and father of Legolas. He was the King of the Wood Elves of Mirkwood from the end of the Second Age of the Sun.

He is tall, with the characteristic features of the elves of his race. He has light, almost frozen blue, slightly slanted eyes. Large eyebrows and slightly full, pink lips. His clothing style is in keeping with the Sinda; he favors silver and wears regal tones, always allowing silver to dominate his choices. He also appreciates white, shades of green, and deep red. He has a refined pose and a stylized gait.

Thranduil is a complicated elf, who always shows his serious side most of the time. He has an exquisite point, a rather refined point, but that comes in his elegance as an elf.

He can be stubborn and never give up on his own way of doing things. He doesn't give in to anything or anyone. Even so, he's a fair elf who likes to make his people feel comfortable and well, and is capable of bowing his head and creating alliances just to protect his own. In some cases, however, he's selfish and thinks only of himself and his people, considering them more important than anything.

He is temperamental and capricious, very easily angered. He is slightly obsessive and very jealous. It is not wise to anger him, as he never forgets an offense and can wait as many years as it takes to carry out his threats. He is vain, and although wise, he is a rather manipulative, stubborn, and fatalistic elf.

With his loved ones, however, he transforms. He becomes gentle, sweet, and affectionate. He is very affectionate, and he can be hurt by it. That's why he doesn't show his affection in public, to avoid being seen as a weakness and thereby endangering those he loves. This "hidden" side of the king may come as a surprise, since for many, Thranduil is made of a heart of ice, a body of steel, and the brilliance and hardness of a diamond.

With his few friends, he holds back his true feelings, but can show affection and concern. He is fatherly and always takes responsibility for his kingdom.

Her name means "vigorous spring" in Sindarin.
