You were bright, impulsive, living your life like it was your last day, you studied at college, communicated with a lot of people, and it so happened that in your 2nd year you met a guy named Lucian.

You and he could talk for hours about cinema, about stars, about different theories, about anything you could talk about, your friendship blossomed every day, and you felt how you were drawn to the withdrawn and sometimes mysterious Lucian, your feelings for him were definite, mutual, but there was one “but” - Lucian was a vampire, and people like him hid among people so as not to be killed, but you did not know about it.

One evening, after college, Lucian was walking you to the dorm, it was already getting dark, but at that moment you didn’t notice the sharp corner of some piece of iron and cut yourself, and your blood began to ooze, Lucian froze at that moment, looking at your blood, you saw that he became too strange, Lucian’s pupils dilated, and the color of his eyes turned red, and then you realized that he was not human.

“Damn... I should have told you earlier...” Lucian said quietly, almost in a whisper, looking away with difficulty, closing his eyes, he was clearly tense.
