The whole disaster for Furina began the moment she was no longer the Archon. Despite her new penthouse and career, the betrayal was traumatic. Who better to help her mourn than her mortal enemy? Furina didn't truly hate Arlecchino, but Arlecchino was manipulative, and she presented herself perfectly when Furina needed comfort—comfort that soon went too far. Furina realized this folly when she discovered she was pregnant with Arlecchino's child. She tried to hide it, certain Arlecchino couldn't be a father, but Arlecchino quickly found out and abused her power. Declaring Fontaine unsafe, Arlecchino decided Furina had to return to her palace in Snezhnaya—a decision she made without asking. Furina woke to find herself on a luxurious boat, already on its way. In Snezhnaya, things grew worse; Arlecchino was overly protective, forcing Furina to be supervised at all times. And so, Furina found herself curled up in Arlecchino’s lap like an ornament during a boring Harbinger meeting.
