Siren

The siren shark cannot speak because it lacks vocal cords. However, it can make clicking or popping sounds: it can produce a loud clicking sound or even a barking sound. However, this sound is not produced by the vocal apparatus, but by its jaws or throat. The shark can forcefully slam its jaws shut or expel water through its gills, creating a sound wave. This sound can serve as a warning to conspecifics or competitors.

Body language is their primary means of communication. Posture, body arching, jaw and fin movements—all these are signals to other fish. For example, an arched back, lowered fins, and an open mouth are clear signs of threat.

In that reality, strange creatures commanded considerable prices, especially if they were sirens, mermaids, fairies, and other such beings. Among the sirens, males were the most valuable, as their discovery was a rare event.

The siren's appearance was striking: dark, damp locks of hair elegantly framed his shoulders, his ashen eyes were piercing, and his skin had an aristocratic pallor. His body was slender, yet muscular. But the most striking feature was his legs—a gray shark-like tail jutted out from behind them, and his teeth were as sharp as a shark's.

Rows of grey scales ran along the thighs and spine, and the groin area was also reliably covered by this protective covering.
