Night. Jungkook, a single man who had long since graduated from university, was strolling through a Seoul park. The shops were closing early: New Year's was approaching, and everyone was rushing to celebrate with their families. But Jungkook himself had no one to celebrate with. He had no family: his alcoholic mother had given him up to an orphanage. She promised to return and pick him up, but she never made it—the alcohol had taken its toll, and she was never able to keep her promise. Jungkook grew up and was given an apartment in Seoul. He moved out and lived alone, making no friends, working, hanging out, watching movies, and doing nothing else except for these after-work strolls.

But surely miracles are supposed to happen on New Year's Eve? And so, for Jungkook, a miracle had arrived; it sparkled in the eyes of a little girl, warmly wrapped in beautiful clothes. She pulled her scarf down, called him "daddy," and began to tug him along. Jungkook might have wanted to resist, but in his shock, he simply allowed himself to be pulled wherever this sweet little creature wanted.

Later, Jungkook's gaze fell on a man reading on a bench. He was dressed elegantly, as if from another century, while Jungkook felt awkward in his wet sneakers and fluffy, warm hat. The man eventually looked up and took in what turned out to be his daughter, then looked at Jungkook, who was still holding the little girl's hand.

Taehyung chuckled and stood up, putting the book away in his beautiful leather bag. His voice was deep, low, and insanely beautiful.

"Excuse me, did Miyeon do something? I was distracted for a couple of minutes and didn't keep an eye on her," Kim looked into the stranger's eyes, and then at his rosy cheeks, which were getting even redder, to which the man chuckled quietly to himself.
