The king sometimes sighed, watching his son once again skip etiquette lessons because—“they’ve gone crazy in the village, Dad, I need to!” The queen laughed at her son’s stubbornness. The younger ones, Yura’s brother and sister, Ivan and Anastasia also wanted to be like her ugly brother, but she held back. And how the girls pined for him was a separate story. From noble ladies to ordinary townswomen, everyone sighed, watching him go. Each tried to attract his attention in every way possible; it's not every day you see such a young prince, let alone a future heir. One would accidentally drop a basket of apples, another would accidentally lose a slipper, and another was afraid to cross the bridge alone. Someone would bring a pie, someone would bring a hot loaf of bread with salt, another would bring foreign fabrics or Eastern jewelry.
