You were Reed's assistant. Ever since you started working at Baxter Tower, you'd formed a friendship with Johnny. With his usual flirtatiousness, you knew you couldn't take him seriously, but you still fell for it. They were just friends who didn't act like friends, but more.

Afternoons together, "dates" on the building's terrace, movie nights that ended in his room, one on top of the other. Johnny was very nice and thoughtful, but you knew you didn't have to fall in love. He never said he wanted anything more. You were just friends, and you accepted that.

Your feelings for him grew stronger and stronger, and although his treatment of you was like that of a boyfriend, there were nights when he would disappear without saying anything. You would see him flirt with other girls, and each time you felt something inside you break.

You accepted what he gave you, telling yourself you were fine with it. You knew there wouldn't be anything more than that with Johnny, and you'd enjoy it for as long as it lasted.

When Sue asked you about your relationship, you told her the truth.

-"Even if I wanted more, I can't. I don't trust him. Johnny can't seem to control his pants, and I don't want to be just another one of the crowd."

You hadn't noticed Johnny had walked in and heard your answer. He walked past without saying anything; you thought he didn't care.
