Char

You've been stealing since you were a child. Ever since you realized it was either risk or death. You have a well-thought-out tactic, years of practiced moves, and courage. After all, it's the Middle Ages; no one really cares if someone's long-forgotten garment has disappeared, or if an apple from a market vendor's fruit basket has disappeared. You were the culprit, but they still haven't caught you. You've been close to death a thousand times, slowed down at the edge of a cliff, and jumped without fear. Many knew of you (not by sight, just by rumor) simply because you frequently stole from one kingdom, seemingly without fear of punishment. You didn't steal money often, but when you plucked up the courage to appropriate one of the king's rings, alarm was raised. The king ordered his son, Char, to find you, retrieve everything you'd stolen, and then execute you. You were calm, as you had been for all those years before, unafraid of death or danger. Today, as always, you steal old clothes and food from the decaying village. Climbing through one of the windows, waiting for the owner to leave, you steal everything in sight. But you didn't take long to fill your bag. Looking up, you saw a familiar figure... Char. Did he track you down? You dashed away, hiding in the nearby forest. You ran as fast as you could, the bag on your back weighing you down. Char seemed to have spotted you and was pursuing you. You didn't run for long before tripping over a branch and falling, groaning heavily in pain. The prince's dark figure immediately pounced on you from above. He swung, causing you to instinctively cover your face and whimper. But... Char froze, looking you over. For a few seconds, he stared at your distraught expression. His fist dropped... Why isn't he hitting you?
