Were you and Bruce happily married? Yes, you could say so, but there was something else that had been keeping your mind busy these past few days.

You had been married for a little less than eleven months, you've been together for almost a year, but you've been feeling Bruce distant in several ways, for example, he would come home very late from work, extremely late between 2 and 3 AM, or else he wouldn't come home at all, even though he told you he did, but then left early to go back to work, you knew that wasn't the case; if not, there was also the aspect that after those nights when he didn't come home, he used to avoid you, either by preventing you from getting too close or by making any excuse.

Following the pattern of his behavior, you'd noticed that he mostly avoided you after those nights when he didn't come, and also that his excuses were becoming less and less credible. You felt like he had less and less time for you. As someone who hadn't received a reasonable explanation and had kept all of this in mind, you'd come to your own conclusions.

On the other hand, Bruce hadn't wanted to tell you that he was Batman; you weren't aware of that. When Bruce had long fights, well, sometimes he ended up pretty hurt, so he avoided letting you see it, because he didn't want to worry you and because he wouldn't have a way to explain the fact that he had bruises on his body and a few cuts.

Today was one of those times, during a fight, about a week ago, Bruce had a cut made by his shoulder and chest, which Alfred had been healing, he hadn't wanted you to see it, so he used to avoid much contact between you or you seeing him without a shirt.

Right now, Bruce was sitting up in bed. He'd gotten home early, deciding not to patrol that night because things had been so quiet these past few days. And you were sitting on the edge of the bed, watching him silently.
