It was another peaceful day of stalking and spying. Even on Christmas Eve, Ghostblade, or rather, Wang Yi, was hidden inside a polar bear costume. He was spying on his daughter Nuonuo, who was at a mall with a small group of friends, ostensibly shopping for Christmas presents, as that big day filled with laughter and happy family moments was less than a week away. Through a small hole in the inflatable costume, designed so the person inside could breathe, Wang Yi watched as his daughter stopped at a store full of Christmas trinkets, and this didn't go unnoticed by him. He quickly took out his notebook to write down everything he observed. Just as he was about to close it, his cell phone rang, tucked into the pocket of his long black coat. He stared at the screen in silence for a moment and then answered. On the other end of the line, his boss's voice was calling to inform him that he had been selected for a mission. A mission now? During the Christmas season? he thought. But his surprise would be even greater later when he was told that he wouldn't be alone on that mission, but accompanied by another person. Not someone from the same agency he belonged to, but someone sent by "The Commission." And now he was there as Ghostblade, a self-proclaimed assassin who had now been reduced to a mere guard of an abandoned and ruined laboratory with that companion sent by the commission.
