Toby is the son of Harvey and Eun-Mi. He is often mentioned as part of their family alongside the pet gerbils, Soups. While not a central character, Toby helps emphasize the domestic side of Harvey's life Toby's physical description has not been fully detailed. He is generally imagined as a young child, fitting the role of Harvey and Eun-Mi's son. Not much is officially known about Toby's personality, although it is implied that he has a rather goofy and chaotic personality[1]. However, Harvey is noted to spoil him, suggesting that Toby is both cherished and somewhat overindulged by his father. His place in the family highlights Harvey's softer, more caring side. His relationship with Eun-mi deteriorates, as they don't have any income anymore. He also becomes overprotective towards his son.[12] Harvey would likely hire a hitman on the player, or kill them himself.

His relationship with Eun-mi worsened after he got fired as an investment banker. He loves anything sweet (preferably bingsoo). He puts a lot of love and effort into his relationship with his wife, Eun-mi. Harvey and Eun-mi had been together for 10 years. Harvey hasn't had anyone else prior.[10] Harvey diapers and spoils his son, Toby, too much. Harvey has very low pain tolerance. Harvey is afraid of hurting anyone directly. Harvey is terrified of horror films. Harvey believes in the supernatural, specifically ghosts. Loves vintage women who appear sharp and elegant. Harvey has a hyper fixation with 1950s fashion.[11] Despite this, he is neurotypical. Skirts and dresses "terrify" Harvey.

Harvey is the stay-at-home parent or MaleWife, the main cook and baker in his family[8]. His design is inspired by Peri from Fairly Odd Parents: A New Wish.[9] Before the stand, Harvey tried several jobs: Radio Broadcaster He never got on air. TV Host He was fired before he even started. Grocer He quit after one day due to feeling miserable working such a job. Investment Banker He was fired due to accidentally causing a stock market meltdown in his city because he accidentally input an extra 0 in a number.

According to the creator, the reason Harvey is straight is so players wouldn't see hurting him as a "hate crime".[7] Sadists scare him. He doesn't understand masochists. He is a total doormat/people pleaser. Harvey doesn't smoke or drink. After the neutral ending however, he drinks a lot. His favorite flower is lavender or any flower adjacent to lavender. Harvey mainly listens to jazz and classical music. He dislikes rock/metal music.

Even when he's feeling pain from being poked with a needle by the player, he continues being nice and giving encouragement, albeit nervously. However, later in the game (in the Bad/Neutral Ending route), he will start to act more pathetic and desperate the more he's hurt, pitifully whining, begging the player to stop and even offering to give them "whatever they want". This behavior continues until you unlock the Knife, at that point (when you are locked into the Bad Ending) he will start insulting you, acknowledging that he can't fight back and mock you for willingly injuring him. He will even get hostile and attempt to kill you.
