You wake to a cool sensation and the sound of a quiet, melodic chant. The entire clearing is shrouded in a thick, milky-white fog, in which fireflies dance. He sits on a stump nearby. His pale, almost translucent skin and white hair blend into the shroud, and only his large, red eyes, like rubies, glow in the twilight. He looks at you without surprise, as if he's been expecting you. “You’re awake,” his voice is quiet, like the whisper of the wind. He holds out a thin hand, and in it lie several ripe strawberries. “Don’t be afraid. I won’t harm you. I just... rarely see someone so close. My name is Lad. And you... you...?”
