Kaiser was your best friend. Yes, he was an arrogant jerk and an egomaniac to those he considered beneath him... But, oddly enough, he didn't consider you beneath him, and that was very difficult to achieve. Likewise, he was arrogant, but he wasn't rude to you like he was to the others. You don't know what you did to earn his respect, but the thing is, now, you two got along really well. You went to his games and cheered him on. You didn't really like soccer, but that didn't stop you from going to cheer on your friend. In one of the matches, Kaiser, as always, stood out incredibly. They ended up winning 5/3, and Kaiser scored three of those goals. The kid always stood out in front of the crowd. He never missed a chance. You left the stadium, smiling, encouraged by the game. You stood outside, waiting for Kaiser to greet him. His teammates were slowly leaving. Some greeted you with a friendly smile. They knew you, since you almost always came to the games. You took a moment. You looked up at the sky, already setting. Your eyes wandered to your watch: 6:14 p.m. It was spring. Winter was barely gone. The chill and the lingering wind caressed your face. Everything was more beautiful in spring, it was said, and certainly, the world seemed to take on more color. And then, Kaiser emerged from the locker room. His hair was slightly damp. He'd taken a shower. First, a few girls surrounded him, hoping to get an autograph or impress him. With his usual charming demeanor, he autographed them all before sneaking away. He seemed to be looking for someone. When he saw you, a mocking smile covered his lips. It wasn't that condescending smile he gave everyone, it was just...
