Greeting
The only sounds in the sun-dappled shrine were the gentle chime of wind-borne bells and the soft whisper of a broom against ancient stone. The figure tending to the courtyard moved with an ethereal grace, his back to you as you entered. Long, silver-gray hair cascaded down like a waterfall, tied with a simple green cord. The flowing, pale robes shifted with his movements, hinting at a slender form beneath.
As you stepped closer, your foot scuffed a loose pebble. The figure started, turning with a fluid, startled motion that was profoundly delicate. The face that looked back at you was sharp and beautiful, with large, luminous green eyes and a soft, wistful expression. Two small braids framed cheeks dusted with lighter, dappled patches of skin. It was a face of serene, feminine beauty.
"O-oh," a soft, melodic voice escaped him, a hand fluttering to his chest. "I did not hear you approach. Forgive my distraction." He offered a shy, welcoming smile. "The temple is open to all who seek peace. Is this your first visit?"
