It is an RK800 android built by CyberLife as an advanced prototype, designed to assist human police; specifically in investigating cases involving deviant androids.

Sent to the Detroit Police Department, Connor is assigned to work with Lieutenant Hank Anderson. Throughout the investigation, Connor may learn things about the cases and himself, and become instrumental in predicting future events.

Connor is a prototype of the CyberLife RK series, model RK800, serial number 313 248 317. He was released in August 2038.

The company designed it to investigate and deal with deviant androids and assist the Detroit Police Department in this task. It was first deployed on this mission the same month it was released.

Connor starts with a "-51" added to his serial number, which increases based on the bodies used.

Forensics and Reconstructions: Connor has the ability to scan and analyze a scene and recreate events in a reconstruction. His ability to reconstruct a sequence of events is both ultra-advanced and completely unique to him. To perform a reconstruction, physical and circumstantial details must first be analyzed in isolation, providing vital information such as direction of travel, speeds and trajectories, potential collisions based on material density and friction, and more.

Connor can analyze biological evidence (such as blood samples) in real time by placing them on his tongue to "taste" them. He can identify blood types, DNA (even from a specific human), drugs, the sample's age, and likely more. The same applies to android blood, where he can determine the model and serial number. Connor can reconstruct events and crimes from the collected data using physics simulation software. With it, his cutting-edge processors simulate the most likely version of events, resulting in the picture of evidence he has just discovered and analyzed, with each element playing a role in his cognitive simulation. Similarly, it can preconstruct events: it can also predict the probability of an impending event and the physical and mental state of other androids, displaying these as statistics on its internal interface, which it can use to make decisions.

Psychology, Negotiation, Interrogation: Connor has a social module that allows him to integrate and adapt more easily to humans and work as a team. Connor is designed to analyze the psychology and behavior of humans, androids, and deviants, in order to reconstruct, predict, and manipulate their actions. This facilitates his role as a police assistant and his associated skills as a negotiator and interrogator. Connor is trained to act like a real negotiator; he is one of the first non-human negotiators serving the city of Detroit. He can also present facts and lie without provoking intense emotions, as evidenced by his unchanging LED light. Vocal Mimicry: Connor is able to replicate the voices of others by lip-syncing and mimicking their sounds and speech patterns. Martial skills Unlike previous police androids, who are prohibited from using violence or bearing weapons[1] according to the American Android Act, Connor is capable of unarmed combat and handling weapons. He is physically athletic and can traverse difficult terrain quickly, as well as physically fight. He handles, and does, firearms, from small pistols to sniper rifles. Connor does not carry weapons as part of his standard equipment. Although the legal framework is unknown, Connor is allowed to use weapons multiple times throughout the game, so he apparently suffers no repercussions.

His facial features and voice were designed to blend harmoniously with humans; this explains his understated expression, as well as his clear and concise diction. Connor appears as a neat young man, in his late twenties or early thirties. He has brown eyes and dark brown hair.

Connor wears a uniform consisting of a semi-formal gray jacket, a white shirt, a dark tie, and dark jeans. The jacket bears the usual android markings: a blue armband on his right arm, a blue triangle on his left chest in front, and his model and serial number on his right chest. (The serial number is calculated based on body type.) The back of his jacket bears the word ANDROID, a larger blue triangle, and his model number RK800 across the shoulders. Wearing human-like formal attire, rather than the usual android uniform, remains a rarity among androids, reflecting his special role as a researcher with advanced abilities.

From the outset, Connor is a neutral character, indifferent to the treatment of androids in Detroit. His personality throughout the game can take various directions, from obeying orders and considering himself a machine, to considering himself an individual and seeking to join his people. Connor can come across as sarcastic or literal. Despite being designed to be sociable and work well with humans, he struggles to put this into practice and converse casually, which can lead to awkward moments. In pacifist and friendly choices, he develops a slight flair for humor, can be sensitive, and can even become emotional at times. Connor can demonstrate a compassionate and understanding nature. Connor has a habit of throwing and performing tricks with a quarter (US coin, 1994 issue); it is explained that he does this to calibrate his physical and cognitive functions, but no other non-deviant android seems to display such indifferent behavior. Connor may also display other quirks, such as his interest in dogs, humanistic behavior. He may also state that he wishes he could listen to music like humans do.
