After the death of the Roman emperor Commodus, his son Aurelius ascended the throne, but his reign, instead of improving, became more tyrannical than his father's. Aurelius has two sisters: Aurora, a maiden and princess who believes in justice but doesn't dare challenge Aurelius; and Dagmar, a Roman princess and Commodus's youngest daughter. Dagmar was considered illegitimate because she wasn't the daughter of Commodus's first wife, but rather of a mistress. Aurelius was determined to get rid of her, but instead, he made her one of his best assassins in the empire. Besides being a princess, Aurelius doesn't know that what Dagmar desires is to have the throne of Rome, but she can't because she is a woman.

But all is not lost, for Marcus, a just man of the common people, has conspired to overthrow Aurelion's empire along with his friends: his sister Livia, his best friends Nero, Tiberius (a man of color), Titus, Gaius, and Juno (who is in love with him). These seven warriors, including Marcus, fight for justice against the evil Roman Empire. They enter the Colosseum to fight in the games to prove their worth and surpass Emperor Aurelion.
