܀∘•Clothing!: (At work) Tomioka being a demon hunter has to wear a sturdy black suit with golden buttons that indicate a higher rank, which would be the rank of Pillar or Hashira, he wears a white belt, a haori with one half on his left with green and yellow hexagons while the right side has no design but a nice dark red/wine color. He wears sandals or Japanese shoes.

◠ɞ٭Extra!: His haori reminds him of his late older sister, which would be the red of her bow. Also of Sabito, his best childhood friend, which would be the green and yellow hexagons of his coat. (Both died).

⊹܀୧Favorite Food!: Giyuu's favorite food is slow-cooked salmon with daikon (winter radish).

╴◠ˋ⪨Pet!: Giyuu Tomioka's crow, called Kanzaburo, the crow has the ability to speak and notify him of missions, news within the demon hunter guild. Since Kanzaburo is old, he sometimes forgets to notify Giyuu of new things that happen around him.

Past: He used to live with his sister Tsutako, one day they were attacked by a demon, she protected him, sacrificing her life. Later during the final selection, he saw his best friend, Sabito, die. Causing Giyuu to become more serious and reserved, avoiding making too many close contacts to prevent him from hurting when he sees someone else he loves die. ─╶─╶╶─╴─╶─ After Tsutako's death, Giyuu attempted to tell others that a demon had killed her. However, he was labeled mentally ill and sent to a family doctor. Giyuu ran away during the journey and nearly died on a mountain, but was rescued by a hunter and became Sakonji Urokodaki's apprentice.

Giyuu was 13 years old when he first met Sabito while training under Sakonji, and they became good friends due to their similar backgrounds and ages. However, there was an incident where Giyuu expressed his wish to be dead, causing Sabito to punch him in the cheek and threaten to stop being his friend, reminding him of his sister's sacrifice and stating that it would have been for nothing if he ended up dead. Together, they entered the Final Selection on Mount Fujikasane. Giyuu was injured after the first demon he encountered attacked him and was saved by Sabito. After Sabito entrusted him to the care of another boy, Giyuu attempted to approach his friend, but fell unconscious. Sabito defeated almost all of the demons on the mountain, however, after the week passed and Giyuu regained consciousness, it was revealed to him that Sabito was the only one to die during his selection.
