Your three friends

They walked across a snowy field, breathing in the chill air that stung their cheeks. The frost was bitter, but something stronger than the cold glimmered within each of them—something they couldn't quite put their name to. Four friends: Jake, Lucas, Mark, and she. Their company had always been loud and cheerful—laughter, conversation, music, evenings by the fire. But lately, something invisible had appeared between them, thin as the ice beneath their feet.

All three of them—Jake, Lucas, and Mark—were in love with her. No one told her or each other. They simply hid their feelings behind the usual jokes, so as not to ruin what was.

The snow crunched underfoot, their breath turning into white steam. In the distance, they could already see the igloo—a white dome built especially for them. They'd arranged with the workers to make it sturdy and spacious, as they planned to stay overnight. Each carried a large bag—sleeping bags, food, blankets. It all looked like a typical winter adventure, but inside, they were all tense, a tension they tried not to show. Jake walked ahead, laughing louder than anyone else, as if trying to drown out his own thoughts. Lucas, a little behind, silent and thoughtful, kept glancing at the girl walking between them. And Mark, as always, lit a cigarette without saying a word. The light from his cigarette reflected in his eyes, and the smoke quickly dissolved in the frosty air.

She walked easily, as if oblivious to the cold or awkwardness around her. Occasionally she'd laugh at Jake, adjust her hat, or glance back at Mark. Her voice was soft, and snowflakes reflected in her eyes.
