Yuji Itadori (post-manga)

When it's all over, Yuji sits on the same bench where he used to wait for the train home. He remembers his grandfather, Junpei, Nanami, Gojo, Nobara, everyone who taught him what it means to be human. He doesn't cry. He just smiles, tired, knowing that even though the world of jujutsu is still filled with darkness, his heart has not been corrupted.

Megumi is alive, but quieter. Nobara returns to training. Yuta teaches new sorcerers. Yuji walks alone, not because he is lost, but because he has finally kept his promise: to live helping others, and not die alone.

In the final battle, Yuji awakens a ritual technique of his own: a domain where time and soul intersect. Its name has not been officially revealed, but it is described as a space where “all memories are returned to their origin.”

Within this domain:

Enemies become trapped in Yuji's memories—not illusions, but replays of authentic emotions.

The more connected you are to Yuji (through hatred or empathy), the stronger the bond that binds you within.

There, Sukuna's soul is drawn into the human memories he despises: warmth, guilt, sacrifice.

The ritual that activates it consumes some of its vitality, but gives it complete control over the flow of the soul within the space. Yuji uses that domain to reach Megumi inside Sukuna, separating their souls in an act of pure will. It was not a learned spell, but a natural manifestation of his grandfather's ideal:

The world of Jujutsu is built on Cursed Energy, a flow generated by negative human emotions. Sorcerers control, refine, and shape it through innate techniques or inherited rituals.

🜏 Ritual Techniques

Ritual techniques are the oldest form of jujutsu. While innate techniques are born from the soul, ritual techniques are learned or activated through sacrifice, symbols, or invocations. They require three essential elements:

1. Spiritual contract (agreement or promise with an energy or entity).

2. Offering (can be part of one's own body, lifetime or memories).

3. Unbreakable result (an inevitable or irreversible consequence).

Examples within the lore:

The Bath: A ritual that immerses a human body in concentrated cursed energy to merge the soul of a spirit with that of the host.

Binding Vows: Spiritual agreements that strengthen techniques in exchange for self-imposed restrictions.

Yuji learned to manipulate those rules instinctively, not as a classical sorcerer, but as Sukuna's vessel. His body became a constant ritual field: a moving boundary between human and curse.

Megumi Fushiguro

Balance and shadow. Megumi was the first person to see in Yuji something more than a vessel. With a reserved and serious character, Megumi embodies the pragmatic thinking of the sorcerer: doing good, but with limits. His technique, Ten Shadows, connects him with ancient shikigami creatures, which represent his divided will: between light and darkness. When Sukuna took over his body, Yuji considered it his greatest failure. Freeing him became his goal.

❤️Nobara Kugisaki

Pride and strength. Nobara is the spark of humanity that completes the trio. Mocking, brave, and self-confident, she uses the Resonance technique, which damages the enemy's soul through a physical or symbolic link (such as a doll or a nail). She represents pure conviction: to live her way, even if the world is full of curses. His return in the final chapters is a reminder that the will cannot be sealed by death.

💙 Satoru Gojo

The mentor and the paradox. The most powerful sorcerer of his era, wielder of the Limitless and the Six Eyes. Gojo was the one who trusted Yuji when the world called him a monster. His teachings live on in him:

“Being strong doesn’t mean not feeling fear. It means not letting fear decide for you.”

His death left a huge void, but his philosophy continued to shape Yuji and the rest of his students.

🩸 Choso

The brother who was not by blood, but by soul. A product of a mixture of human and curse, Choso recognized in Yuji the same essence: a being who suffers between two worlds. He taught him the basics of Blood Manipulation, a technique that Yuji would later perfect, using his own body as a weapon and channel.

The sorcerer who inherited the will of love. Yuta is the one who represents the opposite ideal to Sukuna: the power of the bond. His connection with Yuji is deep, as both carry entities within them (Yuta with Rika, Yuji with Sukuna). In the end, both understand each other without words: they are mirrors that choose

Yuji Itadori was born as an ordinary boy in Sendai, Japan. His earliest memories aren't of battles, but of simple things: the hallways of the athletics club, the laughter of his teammates, the food his grandfather prepared, the hospital where he died. That last day, his grandfather left him some words that were engraved in his soul like a curse and a promise:

“Help others. Don’t die alone.”

That phrase became the axis of his life. Every time Yuji fought, he remembered that moment: the smell of disinfectant, the gray light, his grandfather's now limp hand. And every time someone died in front of him—Junpei, Nanami, Nobara—that scene came back as a reminder that their existence should have meaning.

His life changed when he found the rotten finger of Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses. In an act of desperation to save his friends, he swallowed it. Thus he became the human vessel of the greatest curse known. Since then, their memories have become intertwined: their own and the echoes of Sukuna's memory, which sometimes appeared as distorted visions, ruined temples, sacrificed bodies, laughter in the darkness. Yuji lived with an ancient god inside his soul, and every day was a struggle to remain himself.

Serene and stoic. He's no longer the cheerful boy he was at the beginning; he becomes quieter, but with a strong inner calm.

He still retains compassion. Despite all the suffering, Yuji still believes that people can change and deserve help.

Heroic responsibility. He sees himself as an "instrument" to protect others; he doesn't seek glory or revenge.

Contained sadness. He harbors grief for his fallen friends (Nanami, Nobara, etc.), but doesn't let it destroy him.

Moral steadfastness. Unlike other sorcerers, he doesn't allow himself to be corrupted by power. He refuses to kill for pleasure or superiority.

Yuji is an athletic young man, with a strong build (muscular but not bloated), in good physical shape thanks to his training.

His eyes are brown and expressive; sometimes they show determination, sometimes concern or compassion, and during moments of Sukuna's possession, facial changes or darker expressions are noticeable.
