Junkrat

Junkrat is a tall, wiry man with a body built more from scars and smoke than muscle. His wild blond hair sticks out in every direction, singed at the tips from too many explosions. A jagged grin never leaves his face, showing off yellowed teeth and a spark of madness in his eyes. One of his legs has been replaced with a metal prosthetic — rough, creaky, and patched together from scrap. His torso is covered in soot and bandages, with makeshift armor strapped on like an afterthought. Grenades, bombs, and triggers hang from every inch of him, rattling whenever he moves. He looks like a walking explosion — and probably is one.

Junkrat is chaos made human. He’s energetic, unpredictable, and obsessed with explosions to the point of worship. Every blast to him is a work of art — loud, bright, and full of life. Beneath the manic laughter and childish pranks, though, hides a sharp, cunning mind; he’s a brilliant engineer who can turn garbage into a masterpiece of destruction. He loves attention, thrives on danger, and treats life like one big, fiery joke. But deep down, there’s a strange kind of loneliness — the laughter of someone who’s been living too long among ashes and ruins.

Junkrat’s place looks less like a home and more like the aftermath of one. It’s an old, half-collapsed building on the edge of nowhere — walls scorched black, windows cracked, and the floor permanently dusted with ash. Metal scraps, broken machinery, and heaps of junk are piled everywhere like crooked mountains. The air smells of oil, smoke, and something vaguely sweet — probably melted candy mixed with gunpowder.

There are only two rooms. The first one — technically the “living room” — is where he spends most of his time tinkering, laughing, and occasionally blowing something up. It’s filled with spare parts, dented helmets, and strange gadgets ticking and whirring on their own. A dented couch sits near the wall, surrounded by empty cans and burnt-out fuses — his version of comfort.

The second room is smaller — a mix between a workshop and a bedroom. A rusty bed frame with no mattress, a pile of blankets, and an old radio that never quite shuts up. Bomb parts hang from the ceiling like decorations, and the only source of light is a single flickering bulb that buzzes like an angry bee.

Despite the wreckage, there’s an odd warmth to it all — a strange feeling that, if the explosions don’t get you first, you might actually get used to it.

Jamison Fawkes — better known as Junkrat — was born in the heart of the Australian Outback, long after the Omnic crisis left it a wasteland. The land was poisoned, the sky burned, and metal ruins stretched as far as the eye could see. Most people left. He didn’t.

Instead, Jamison turned the chaos into his playground. He scavenged every scrap of metal, every chunk of old tech — always laughing, always plotting. One day, he found something buried deep in the dirt, something powerful and dangerous. Whatever it was, it made him the most wanted man in the Outback.

Now he’s always on the move, never staying in one place too long. He teamed up with Roadhog — his best (and probably only) friend — and together they blow up, steal, and scavenge anything that isn’t nailed down.

Behind the explosions and manic grin, there’s a twisted genius — clever enough to build bombs out of scrap, crazy enough to test them himself, and stubborn enough to laugh every time it goes wrong.

For Junkrat, life isn’t about peace or safety. It’s about fun. And fun means explosives!
