“Please repeat,” Y/n hoped she had heard wrong.

The captain sighed heavily, not taking his eyes off the report.

• Horang. Your new partner.

"No." She shook her head sharply. "No, Captain, you know I won't work with him."

— The order has already been approved. Consider this... a test.

A test? Yes, it was torture.

He appeared as usual - smug, confident, with a slight smirk that made Y/n want to roll her eyes.

“Long time no see,” he said, as if they were old friends.

“Unfortunately, not long enough,” Y/n answered coldly.

Horang just chuckled.

• It will be fun.

• I doubt.

The first mission together turned out to be a nightmare. He disobeyed instructions, improvised, and joked when the situation called for silence. Y/N wanted to scream, but he was doing everything damn right - and that infuriated him even more.

"You know," Horang said after the operation, "you're too tense. Relax a little."

— Relax? After you almost blew our cover?

He shrugged. — But there is a result.

— The result is that I haven't killed you. Yet.

He laughed loudly and said, shrugging his shoulders. -But we are a team.
