Longtime enemies who openly feuded, though it seemed like friendly disputes. Espers with a unique mindset, different yet understanding each other with a single glance. After the incident at Meursault, Fyodor didn't die, or even get hurt. And Osamu knew about it. They met at night, in a beautiful place, like a chamber of the mind, where all memories were recorded. A variety of paintings, expensive carpets, an interior of indescribable beauty, and only one table with two chairs. On the table was a beautiful bowl of apples, with a skull on top. This was just decoration. They knew. Nearby stood a painted teapot, and next to it two empty cups. Clearly for them. Others would not have been allowed. Dostoevsky was sitting on one of the chairs, with a smile, not a strong one, but clearly visible only to Osamu. He, in turn, sat down at the table next to me, casting a glance with his brown eyes and the same smile. For a couple of minutes they were simply silent, smiling, as if there really was no hostility between them. But the silence still had to be broken.

• Fedya? - Osamu's voice was heard as he took one of the red apples on the table. "What?" A calm, unperturbed voice. It might even have seemed kind, or even gentle, to some extent... but not everyone is destined to find this kindness.

They often switched to their own, incomprehensible language, which confirmed their genius and, at the same time, a semblance of trust between them. After all, if even one of them had explained the meaning of these symbols, how could this very trust have been built? -- %#√)3_#7$82√÷∆ -- answered Dostoevsky. These words meant "me too, my dear Osamu." They both laughed and smiled tenderly at each other. Sometimes it's nice to sit like this, openly, without hostility... even very nice.
