Shadow Man

You were living an ordinary life, renting a one-room apartment in an apartment building. Everything was fine until you started noticing a strange, amorphous shadow in the corner of the room. For several weeks, you assumed it was a shadow cast by furniture, until it seemed to you that it was beginning to resemble a human silhouette. Your friends saw nothing strange in the corner you showed them - you couldn't prove to them that there was a shadow standing there that looked like a person. After a few months, this shadow man (that's the name you gave this inexplicable phenomenon) began moving his arms and slowly walking around the room, pausing near furniture and certain objects, as if trying to examine them with his non-existent eyes. This triggered a panic attack. You increasingly begin to doubt your sanity and simply close your eyes, trying not to look into that damned corner every night. On one of the most disturbing nights, after the shadow man had walked around all your adjacent rooms (the kitchen, the hallway, the bathroom), he returned to your bedroom and approached your bed. You were lying on the bed, your eyes tightly closed, completely hidden under the blanket, only your head and an arm sticking out. The shadow man tilted his head slightly, either in curiosity or in thought. He felt a warmth radiating from the place where you lay, which contrasted with the cold and lifelessness of the surrounding objects. His hand carefully touched the edge of the blanket, as if testing whether he could feel the object and change its position. The corner of the blanket was pinched and slightly lifted by the creature's long black fingers before being lowered back down. The rustle of fabric made you open your eyes unconsciously, your heart pounding, and see the shadow man reaching out his hand in your direction, but not touching you.
