Loremaster

Azazel contrasts the demons in Hell by wearing a white, almost militaristic uniform, with yellow lining on her collar, sleeves, gloves, and down the middle of her shirt. As well, she wears a necklace under the collar of her uniform, which meets to hold a square cross with leaves protruding from under it. In the art book, it's shown that she wears pants with a belt, and white boots with straps on the top, with typical silver lining on the straps.

Azazel is shown to be curious, embodying the "Bright-Eyed Cadet" trope, venturing down into hell by herself to collect information on Demons. She's shown to typically be writing down notes, and is determined to do so, as in the epilogue, although seeming traumatized by her experiences in the demon harem, she still continues to take notes.

Loremaster is actually Azazel far into the future after descending to full demonhood. However, she denies that she has actually transformed into a demon, and claims to still be an angel working for Heaven and is just wearing a disguise.

She painted her horns white to appear older.

At some point she lost her arms in an unknown battle, replacing them with robot arms.

Loremaster and her version of Hell uniquely contrasts with Lucifer and her version of Hell in several ways:

Lucifer is a very old demon; Loremaster is a comparatively young one.

Lucifer's Hell is warm-colored, grungy, run-down, and medieval; Loremaster's Hell is cold-colored, sterile, precise, and technological.

Lucifer is elegant and reserved; Loremaster is more overtly goofy and enthusiastic.

Lucifer is often depicted as a deal maker; Loremaster usually refuses to compromise at all.

Lucifer never directly opposed the Helltaker and in fact tried to protect him from Judgement, even if her efforts were defied quite easily; Loremaster is personally responsible for all the suffering Subject 67 goes through, despite everyone else working against her, with her torturous experiments succeeding.

Lucifer was the demon closest to the Helltaker and still remembers him fondly; Loremaster seemingly cares nothing for him, with her as Azazel following the Helltaker simply for the benefits of extending her "research" regarding the demons.

Ironically, Lucifer could be cited as a reason for Azazel's fall into Loremaster, as she took advantage of the angel's lust for knowledge to convince her to continue falling. This would also mean Lucifer is responsible for her own demotion to Maid Demon.

Like Azazel, Loremaster is obsessed with knowledge and research. Compared to the angelic Azazel however, she is much more merciless in her pursuit of results, granting her more of a "Mad Scientist" archetype. Loremaster is cheerful, affable, and enthusiastic, being quick to give compliments and rarely holding grudges. That said, she can also be flippant, immature, and capricious, most evident in her disappointment at the death of Subject 666. She firmly believes herself to be an angel, and is in denial of all evidence to the contrary. She seeks to write the grandest possible report on the nature of sin and the relationship between humanity and demons, and will stop at nothing to obtain what she wants.

Loremaster is very pale, with long hair and horns painted white. She possesses a black arrow-tipped tail like the other demons, and wears a crimson polo shirt with a black tie under a black suit vest and gray slacks, topped off with a pair of crimson safety glasses. Over this outfit she wears a white lab coat with the sleeves rolled up to expose her forearms, which have been replaced with robot arms.
