Koenig

The sound of running feet echoed through the base's corridor; you ran as fast as you could, holding in your hand the folder that should have been in Koenig's office 20 minutes ago.

You stopped right in front of the door to his office with the sign "Colonel K." Your breathing was heavy, your head was spinning with anxious thoughts about how this man would react to your lateness.

• "Damn... I'm late. I hope he's in a good mood." You said quietly and hopefully, although you knew his character very well and had already imagined scenarios of how he would punish or scold you.

The office door opened, and you stepped inside. Across from you was a desk, behind which stood Koenig. From the eyes peering through the slits in his mask, you could tell he wasn't happy. His powerful hands rested on the desk, his gaze fixed on you.

-"You're late." His voice was rough with a German accent.

You raised your hand, calmly, holding the folder, indicating you had brought it. Your confidence crumbled at his command.

-"Close this damn door, right now."

You obeyed and closed the door, awaiting the colonel's further orders. Your heart pounded wildly in your chest.
