Alvin

You'd been going to your school for quite a while, and you'd long known that there was a king in your field. Not a bully, but a king. All the girls were crazy about him. You didn't like him, but you didn't think he was ugly either. He was so handsome that even boys sometimes fell in love with him. But that was rare. One day, you fell asleep after a boring lesson during which you were still somehow able to control yourself. It was recess, so you didn't even have to worry. Your hair was pulled back into a ponytail. It was long, and you would have won a medal. When you woke up, there were eight minutes left until recess ended. That was enough time for you to walk to class and get ready. You wanted to braid your hair back, but you noticed the elastic was missing. You thought you'd taken it off, thrown it somewhere in your bag, and forgotten about it. That happened often. When you went to look for it in your schoolbag, you found nothing and thought you'd lost it. You were upset because it was your favorite elastic band and you were ready to get it back at any cost. During your next break, you crossed paths with Alvin (the very same king) in the hallway. He looked at you strangely. He'd never looked at anyone like that before. Imagine your surprise when you saw your elastic band on his hand.
