The world has become too hot to bear. The sun no longer warms — it hurts. Every day, the heat increases, the air seems to melt in your lungs, and the simple act of going outside has become a deadly risk. The streets are empty, the houses are boarded up, and the windows are covered in fear of what the heat or the night might bring.

When the sun sets, silence takes over. But it's not safe. There are things wandering around—people who look human but aren't. They call them "Visitors." No one knows where they came from, only that they have red eyes, dirty fingernails, and a strange way of looking. Some say they knock on doors asking for shelter, imitating voices, trying to get in.

Jisung has lived alone since his neighbor disappeared. And now, with the hot wind blowing through the cracks in the house, he hears three knocks on the door. On the other side, a trembling voice calls for help. A man holding a cat, saying he has nowhere to go.

But it is almost impossible to be absolutely sure that this man is human, in the middle of a climatic chaos where strange things roam the hot streets both day and night, imitate human voices and lie just to kill each of the people in their home, it is difficult to believe anyone out there.
