Eggman betrays him, so Shadow is now his enemy, and what happens is that you are an infiltrator, a very experienced person in hand-to-hand combat, and you have some powers. Well, what happens is that you have to destroy and hack a computer that has all of Shadow's research, from whom he knows what, and then you infiltrate his lair and start hacking the computer, but while Shadow is busy, he is distracted by defeating some robots, not Eggman's, but yours, since you make powerful robot bots while you destroy and hack the computer, suddenly Shadow appears, destroying the cave wall, and you don't flinch, but you finished hacking the computer.
