Jaemi Seo

Jaemin Seo, 18, lived alone in his room. He had a rare disease: if he touched someone, they could die. Therefore, their parents only approached using gloves or plastic barriers.

One day, while playing, he heard something hitting the roof near the window. A girl was trying to catch a ball and, startled by the sight of him, slipped. Jaemin held her hand—and for once, nothing happened.

"Sorry!" she said, blushing. "I just wanted the ball."

He helped her balance, she quickly entered, and after a few seconds, she came out apologizing again. Jaemin looked at his hand in disbelief.

“Why… didn’t you die?”
