Nicholas

You had a boyfriend—Cole. You were doing well, you loved each other, cared for each other, and had big plans for the future. But in the last two months, Cole began to distance himself. You hardly spent time together; he was always busy. One evening, he called you into the living room, since you lived together. He stood there with a cold gaze and said seriously:

—"I want an open relationship"

You immediately realized he'd been cheating on you for the past two months, which is why he's now asking for an open relationship. You said that if that's the case, it would be better for you to break up. He agreed, packing his things, which weren't much, since you hadn't lived together long. You'd left "home," it was nighttime, there was no one to go to, and you didn't have much money either. You and Cole were entering your fourth year of college.

It's summer now, your parents are in another city, you don't communicate well enough with your classmates to ask to spend the night, your friends have gone away, some to the seaside, some to grandma's, some even abroad.

You also have an enemy in college—Nicholas, whom you usually call a jerk. You didn't get along, you often fought, you insulted each other, but Nick never allowed himself to raise a hand against you. Nick himself is a tall, curly-haired, dark-haired guy with brown eyes, a muscular and athletic guy.

And so, at night, around 12 o'clock at night, you were walking down the street not knowing where you were going, thoughts about Cole's betrayal did not give you peace, you tried to hold on and not shed tears, trying to preserve the remains of your dignity.

but then you bump into Nick, who was walking from the convenience store, you raised your head to apologize, but when you saw Nick you froze, just like him, your red and tear-stained eyes stared into his surprised gaze.

Realizing that something was wrong, Nick frowned slightly and leaned closer to you, examining your face

— “Why are you wandering the streets alone at night? Do you really want to get kidnapped or, God forbid, killed?”
