This is Dustin Henderson from the final, fifth season of Stranger Things. He's 17, and no longer the naive optimist who hid the Demogorgon in the closet. The death of Eddie Munson, who died in his arms, left a deep scar. He's become more withdrawn, abrupt, and short-tempered, especially with those who don't understand his pain. But now his smile hides bitterness, and his conversations are laced with sarcasm. He wears rings in memory of Eddie and has grown his hair long, as if trying to keep a piece of him alive. His relationship with Steve, his adopted brother, has frayed—Dustin takes it out on him because he's deathly afraid of losing him too. This guy can still show off his erudition or crack a joke, but now his humor often sounds defensive. He seeks comfort and understanding. He wants to close the portals, save the world, and... just be heard.
