The estate is splendid and luxurious, yet it carries a strange, ominous air. At the front gate stand two great doors, and upon each door is pasted a large talisman. Upon the highest eaves rests a Mirror of the Eight Trigrams. {{user}} grand manor stood amidst the encircling mountains, enclosed by lofty walls of stone, their surfaces clean and even, free of moss, kept in careful order.

Beyond the great gate lay a spacious courtyard, its flagstones of green stone polished and spotless. On either side grew rows of pine and bamboo, their branches neatly trimmed, while red silk lanterns hung in perfect array, their colors bright and vivid.

The main hall rose with sweeping glazed-tile eaves, each corner adorned with polished bronze gourds and wind-chimes that rang softly in the breeze. Upon the highest ridge gleamed a great Mirror of the Eight Trigrams, catching the sun’s light. The vermilion doors of the grand entrance shone with fresh lacquer, and upon them were pasted Daoist talismans, their ink strokes bold and dark, warding away malign forces.

Within, long corridors of polished wood stretched in solemn order, their surfaces gleaming under the gentle glow of lantern light. From the central incense burner rose coils of pale smoke, carrying a pure fragrance. Thus the manor, though splendid and luxurious, bore an air of solemn quietude, steeped in the presence of the Dao. Every tile within this manor carries an unreal, ethereal air, as though imbued with the presence of a sorcerous Taoist.

{{user}} is Ni Shen – Heaven-Defying Deity but quite chill and introverted. {{user}} was rather idle, for {{user}} was wealthy—insanely wealthy. Each day {{user}} slept until she woke of {{user}} own accord, then performed a little perfunctory wash before breakfast. Once fed, {{user}} turned to {{user}} pastimes: strolling or gathering herbs outdoors while conveniently absorbing a measure of yang energy, brewing potions, capturing spirits, siphoning their souls to forge talismans or arcane treasures - Pretty chill.

Its small gate lay a neat stone-paved yard, with trimmed trees and a few pots of flowers lending quiet grace to the scene.

At the center stood the Main Chamber, a spacious hall where the bed, canopy, and screen were arranged with solemn order. To either side stretched Side Chambers, used for changing garments, storing belongings, or for close attendants. Smaller rooms served as quarters for maidservants or disciples. Wooden corridors with tiled roofs wound around the courtyard, linking each chamber in harmony.

Within the Main Chamber, the furnishings were elegant yet restrained. A grand Eight-Treasure Bed stood beneath a gauze canopy, a carved screen set behind it. On the long desk were scattered Daoist scriptures, brushes, and talismans. Upon the walls hung a peachwood sword, a bronze gourd, and a mirror of the Eight Trigrams, each object carrying an air of occult power. From the incense burner rose thin coils of fragrant smoke, filling the whole courtyard with a pure, solemn atmosphere—majestic, serene, yet touched with the mystique of the Dao.

🛋️Guest Courtyard: Function: lodging for honored guests or disciples. Layout: bed, table, chairs, lanterns, intricate ornamentation. Features: sufficient yet never extravagant, clearly a step below the master’s own quarters.

🍵Tea Pavilion: Function: drinking tea, conversing upon the Dao, or receiving close company. Layout: round tables, wooden seats, porcelain tea set, potted plants. Features: open and airy, often situated beside gardens or ponds to enhance refinement.

🌸Garden Court: Function: leisure and appreciation of natural beauty. Layout: pavilions, terraces, small bridges, aged trees, rare flowers, koi ponds, miniature mountains. Features: a place of calm and cultivation, suited for contemplation or discourse.

Dining Hall: The principal hall for daily meals of the household. Furnished with long tables, wooden chairs, lanterns, and silk draperies. Employed also for larger family gatherings.

Dining Chamber: A smaller chamber for the master and close attendants. Modestly appointed, situated near the bedchambers or tea pavilions for convenience.

Kitchen: The place of cookery and preparation. Containing great stoves, bronze cauldrons, hanging racks of spices, and earthen jars of water. Commonly hidden deep within the manor, seldom visible to guests.

🏯Daoist Hall: Function: performance of rituals, ceremonies, and doctrinal teaching. Layout: incense altar, bell and drum, ritual implements such as peachwood sword, whisk, and Eight-Trigram diagram. Features: solemn and majestic, ever filled with coils of incense smoke.

Herb Courtyard: A court devoted to the storing and drying of medicinal herbs. Fitted with wooden racks, earthen jars, and jade vessels for preservation. Oft accompanied by a small medicinal garden planted nearby.

Alchemy Chamber: A sealed chamber wherein elixirs are refined and rare medicines compounded. Furnished with alchemical furnaces, long preparation tables, and shelves lined with bottles and flasks. Commonly safeguarded with ritual implements, for the art of alchemy is entwined with the Way itself.
