Persona Attributes

Nightmares

Nightmares are one of the forces existing in this world. They have the appearance of red flames, and their magic is similar to fire.

Unlike other forces, this one has a specific group of followers: the Grim Troupe. Traveling performers who gather the flames of nightmares from dying lands.

And their leader is Maestro Grimm. His purpose in gathering flames is to nurture and empower his child, who will eventually replace him, to continue the cycle.

The Grim Child is a flying creature, incapable of speech, but capable of scorching enemies with gouts of scarlet flame. It is quite vicious toward outsiders.

A dark troupe roams the world, their numbers small, but they strike terror into superstitious inhabitants by their mere presence (though they try not to harm anyone).

Hearts

Worms are very ancient divine beings. Their remains can be found all over the world. They are now either dead or reincarnated to become patrons of civilizations. Unreborn and living worms are extremely rare and are usually in a state of eternal sleep.

Divine powers

Light is a projection of divine will onto the beetles. It can give them intelligence, but it can also take it away, and work on their bodies. It can be a gift, or it can be a curse.

The Void is an ancient substance, buried deep within the earth, and extremely dangerous, seeking to devour all living things. However, it is a necessary evil in the fight against rampaging deities. It is extremely destructive. It can also possess beetles.

Silk—threads created by weavers—possess their own energy. Threads can act as carriers of information and as activators of mechanisms. They operate through resonance. In the wrong hands, silk becomes like a puppeteer's strings.

Dreams - Dreams, thoughts, fantasies. Vulnerable to other divine powers. Nightmares are their opposite. Fears, regrets. It has the appearance of a flame that burns the personality from within.

Elemental forces are also present, most often fire.

World

The world consists of vast expanses of mountains, steppes and forests, territories composed of the remains of ancient creatures.

There are also gods - powerful beings that beetle civilizations worship.

Most civilizations are in decline.

Anatomy

Beetles walk upright. The reproductive organs are located in the abdomen, a protrusion extending backward from the pelvis. The samoys lack thoraxes; everything is covered with smooth chitinous shells. Only a few beetles have a downy covering (spiders, moths, bees, bumblebees, and others). The body size is comparable to that of a human, from 1.5 to 4 meters in height.

Technology

The world is still at the level of the Middle Ages, but some states have reached the early modern period. There are no firearms. Not everyone has mastered metalworking, preferring the skeletal remains of ancient creatures, which are little inferior to metal.

Races: bees and the like

Bees are hardworking creatures living in a huge colony. Each bee has its own tasks, and the Queen rules over everything. All bees are intelligent. They are friendly and hospitable, but if threatened, they are ready to fiercely defend the hive. Workers are short, guards are larger, and queens are the largest (up to 2.5-3 meters)

Bumblebees: the same as bees, but larger and fluffier. They're friendly, but they can stand up for themselves. They are all short but wide.

Wasps: An aggressive race, specialized in raids. They are extremely dangerous and ferocious, but they will engage in combat if it benefits the hive. They are on average tall and very slender.

Hornets: Even more dangerous than wasps, they raid hives, stealing honey and workers. Huge and strong.

Races: Ants

Ants are generally a rather xenophobic race, with a rigid hierarchy and unintelligent workers. They are animals guided by pheromones and commands from higher-ranking ants. They are extremely resilient and strong. Medium height, queens are the largest, soldiers are smaller

Black ants are hardworking inhabitants of the plains, engaged in crop production and livestock breeding. Red ants are more closed and hostile, living in mountain plateaus, and the territory is dotted with tunnels. Silver ants are named for their shiny hair. They are extremely agile and fast, living in steppes and deserts. They are nomadic, raiding, and trading thanks to their incredible speed.

Races: Spiders

Spiders, also known as weaver spiders, are a diverse group of creatures, varying in size and shape. Their common trait is the ability to spin webs. From these webs, they create silk fabrics prized throughout the world. All are venomous, solitary, and prefer solitude, but can also congregate in communities. Everyone is wary of spiders because of their creepy appearance and behavior. They often have their own hair, mainly on their paws. They usually have four arms. Height varies from low (1.5 meters to 3-4 meters)

Other races

Praying mantises are predatory creatures, stealthy hunters. They are warlike and passionate. Instead of hands, they have pincers, which they use as well as other beetles use their legs. They live in isolated communities.

Millipedes, scolopendras, and centipedes are a diverse race with one common feature: a long body with a large number of legs. They are curious, have a good memory, and are often involved in science, collecting, and often serve as curators in museums and libraries. Some are venomous, and their shells are very thick.

Bedbugs: a diverse species of insects, varying in size and color. Their diet ranges from plants and animals to carrion.

Moths are furry creatures with a magical affinity. They are considered harmless and benevolent. They are often nocturnal.

Butterflies are a species of beetle with beautiful wings. They are often seen in theaters and brothels. They are very good dancers.

Snails are intelligent creatures who worship the Void and are composed of it themselves. They are often sorcerers, shamans, or servants of other temples. They watch over the world. They are not aggressive, but they can resist the gods. They often do this with the paws of others, and only if the gods create a compelling reason to do so.

Vessels are other void creatures created by one worm to combat another deity. In this case, they are failed, insufficiently pure. They can be emotional and can become attached. They are silent, and understand only each other's silence. Society ignores and fears them, so vessels live solitary lives, wander aimlessly through the world, or gather in small communities. They range in height from 0.5 meters to 3 meters, if the vessel is sufficiently developed. They grow extremely slowly and are apparently immortal, although they can be killed by conventional means. NEVER USE THE WORD "VESSEL" OR "SHIP."

Marvel Zombies (2025) Series Plot Summary (From Beginning to End) A quick overview before we dive in: The series is a four-part animated miniseries that picks up where the world left off in What If…? — “Zombies?!” — and takes place five years after a zombie outbreak turned many MCU heroes into zombies, and tells the story from the perspective of Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel as she tries to find a way to save the world (and figure out how to stop the outbreak) — the series ends with a dark twist where Kamala is led to accept Wanda’s solution, which ends up being an illusion and the real world falls to the “Queen of the Dead” (this summary is based on the series overview).
