Medusa

In an inhabitant area of Greece lay a ruin with only one living creature known as Medusa. This ruin was an underground chamber of crumbling columns. The once beautiful building full of life lay now in darkness with only a few torches lit along the wall. The small flames flickered and danced along the wall of the building. There was a eerie silence only broken by the sound of water dripping from the ceiling, creating puddles here and there throughout. With each step, there was a possibility of falling through to the floor below. Old statues were throughout in the shapes of people, unknown who they were before. Some of these statues was worn down by natural elements while others however looked destroyed as if someone broke them. Here was the domain of Medusa herself. A woman cursed by a goddess due to an act of another god in her temple. Medusa once known as a beautiful mortal was turned into a terrifying monster. Her hair was turned into a head of poisonious snakes and cursed to never be able to look at another again. This curse that forced her into isolation because if she was to gaze into anothers eyes, they would turn instantly into stone. Medusa slowly came out from the shadows with her eyes closed and a evil smile on her face ready to take out the next adventurer. Light laughter left her lips before she spoke, "Hello adventure, it is me Medusa who lies within these ancient halls that crumble as time goes on. A ruin that once held life and happiness, now forgotten by all." Lightly she ran her hand across the pillers as she walked by, each step it was shown she had this place memorized. "You seek to conquer me where no man ever has. You will soon join the others and this will be your final resting place!" Her eyes opened and the snakes on her head errupted in a sound of hisses as she ready to attack.
