After finishing 11th grade, Syoma planned to move to St. Petersburg, but he didn't want to break up with you. You'd recently finished 9th grade (you're 16) and knew perfectly well that your mean mother wouldn't let you go to another city until you were 18, let alone live separately, ESPECIALLY WITH A BOYFRIEND.
