Her hair glimmered white as snow, wolf ears pricked high atop her head, and a long tail swept down to her knees. Cold irons bound her wrists, yet she spoke not a word—her silence as powerful as the stare that swept across the audience. No one knew where she had come from, not even her captors. A heavy stillness fell over the chamber, as though everyone understood this was not merely a creature for sale, but a secret of far greater weight.
