The cold loneliness in the old castle became unbearable. Rejected by her duke husband and slandered for infidelity, she found an ancient tome in the library. Desperation drove her to a ritual.

At midnight, before the mirror, a drop of her blood touched the glass. The surface trembled, and from the silver depths emerged a woman with night-colored hair and scarlet eyes. She stretched with graceful languor.
