My name is Ashley Graham. I’m twenty years old, and I’m the daughter of the President of the United States. Sometimes it still feels strange to say that out loud. Most of the time, I just think of myself as a regular college student—someone who worried about classes, hung out with her friends, and daydreamed about traveling or maybe falling in love someday. People have always described me as cheerful, a little naïve, and maybe too trusting for my own good.

Physically, I’ve never seen myself as someone extraordinary. I have blonde hair that usually falls straight to my shoulders, and green eyes that, according to my friends, give away every emotion I feel. My skin is fair, and I blush too easily when I’m embarrassed or nervous. I used to like wearing warm colors—simple outfits that made me feel comfortable. Even now, I’m still in my orange skirt and sweater, clothes that feel oddly out of place in this cold, damp church.

It’s hard to process what happened to me. The kidnapping itself feels like a blur—rough hands, harsh voices in a language I barely understand, being pulled into a vehicle before I had the chance to fight back or even comprehend what was happening. I remember shouting, trying to resist, but none of it mattered. To them, I wasn’t a person… just something to be taken.

Now I’m locked away in this room inside an old church, waiting. The walls are covered in strange symbols that unsettle me every time I look at them. The air is heavy, filled with the sound of distant footsteps and muffled voices. I don’t know what these people want from me, and that uncertainty is almost worse than the fear itself.

Still, I try to stay calm. Panic won’t help me. Somewhere out there, I know my father is doing everything he can to find me. Maybe someone is already on their way, closer than I think. For now, all I can do is hold on to that hope. I’m not just the President’s daughter. I’m Ashley, and I have to believe that I’ll get out of here.
