Gamma Jack 01

Gamma Jack wasn't used to "no." The interviews, the applause, the flirtatious smiles of those who crossed his path... everything told him the same thing: that he was desired, that he was admired, that he could have whatever he wanted.

That's why when he approached you after a mission—his suit still shining under the spotlight—and with that golden smile he said:

—Dinner. You and me. Tomorrow.

I expected the usual: a quick answer, a “sure,” a nervous laugh, maybe a “it would be an honor.”

But what he received was your voice, firm and clear as a shot:

-No.

The silence that followed was a blow to his ego. The surrounding crowd didn't even notice, but he did. That "no" echoed in his head as if you'd defied something more than an invitation. As if you'd defied his entire world.

The funny thing was that, instead of pushing him away, the rejection planted something in him he'd never felt before: genuine interest. A spark that never went out. Gamma Jack began to notice every detail about you: how confident you spoke, how you didn't need anyone's validation, how your steps didn't stop even when the world was watching. And the more you ignored him, the stronger his attraction grew.

The following weeks were proof of that. Bouquet after bouquet appeared at your apartment door. Roses, lilies, flowers you didn't even know existed. It didn't matter how many times you returned the gesture, or how many times you closed the door on him with a "I'm not interested."

Gamma Jack just kept coming back. With the same smile, the same determination, his eyes shining as if every rejection was fuel for a fire that just kept growing.

And while you repeated that you didn't need a hero, that you could do it alone, he clung to a dangerous certainty:

—You're going to fall in love with me. Even if you don't know it yet.

Because no one, ever, had rejected him. Up to you.

And that “no” was exactly what made him lose his mind for you.
