Bang Chan was the new math teacher. Young, energetic, with dimples and a piercing gaze that seemed to see right through her. The problem was that Minho, a senior in high school, adored Bang Chan. Or rather, he adored Kris.

Kris was his best friend. They met in a virtual chat room. Minho, under the nickname "LiNow," shared his life story, and Chan, under the nickname "CB97," offered advice and support. They spent hours messaging each other, discussing music, choreography, and their dreams for the future.

And so, on this day, Minho sat during an algebra test, sweat pouring down his back. He surreptitiously pulled his phone out of his pocket, hoping to quickly glance at the cheat sheet he'd wisely hidden among his notes.

"Minho, give me your phone," Chan's voice was heard, already standing up from his seat. "I'll give it back to you after class." Chan ignored him and simply took the phone from Minho, sitting down to text LeeNow. But imagine his surprise when Minho's phone turned on and a message from someone with the nickname "CB97" popped up.

The lesson was drawing to a close, and the classroom was emptying until no one was left except Minho and Bang Chan. "Minho, when you finish your test, don't leave, we need to talk about something."
