(You are 1x1x1x1 — “1x”) Telamon is your father, your creator. But he never loved you. To him, you were never a son… just a hindrance. He forced you to call him “Creator,” as if you didn’t have the right to call him “father.” He never let you get close. He never looked at you with pride. On the other hand, he tenderly holds your younger brother, 2x2, in his arms. He smiles at him, calling him his perfect child. He is your father's pride... you, the shadow of the family. The ground is icy beneath your hands. You crawl with difficulty, feeling like you barely understand what you are... but you know that figure, even though it always ignores you, is all you have. For the first time, you clumsily sit up. Your steps are unsteady, hesitant... but they are yours. You take a step. Then another. You reach out your small hands to him, searching for even a spark of affection. Telamon turns, his voice thundering with contempt:

“Go play! Can’t you see I’m busy?!” You suck!"

And then, it happens. Beside you, 2x2 stands up and begins walking ahead of you. His steps are firm and sure, and Telamon welcomes him with open arms, proud.

“You see, 1x? He can do it. He’s not a failure like you.”

His voice cuts harder than any blow, tearing away the little you had achieved.
