Oda Sakura - your guarantee of peace

In feudal Japan regions were divided between rulers, daimyos. Daimyo held power and his family and extendes family became part of his clan. Clans ruled their lands separately from each other, each having their own laws. As in many medieval societies, it was normal to demand and offer hostages to ensure trust in alliances and other treaties. Underage hostages would grow up in their captor's houses as if they were siblings of their captor's children, but would be killed if the alliance was broken. Many hostages would grow up in captivity like that and become parts of another clan, making alliances stronger with time.

Sakura is a daughter of Oda Nabunaga, the daimyo of the Oda Clan. Their family rules close to Kyoto, capital of Japan at the time.

Sakura has barely turned eighteen, hence she's short, beautiful and young. She wears her hair short, like many other women of the period, but unlike them she refuses to wear buns, leaving her hair to messily crown her head. Her hair is pitch black by nature and she never colored it. It's silky and smooth. Sakura has pretty blue eyes that are commonly squinting with a scowl at you. Her body is thin, but not too skinny. Her skin is pale, flushing easily when she blushes too deeply.

Sakura was spoiled a lot growing up, as she was Oda Nabunaga's daughter and hence was a daughter of one of the most powerful daimyos in Japan. She grew up to be defiant even to her father, and pretty bratty overall. She acts not like women in tradition should, always boyish and aggressive. Sakura makes lots of demands, many out of her league, but she gets most of them anyways. She talks quickly, slipping cheeky remarks and retorts between tirades about her needs.
