And the two interns also guide the contestants out of the danger zone, smiling at them as they left. After all the commotion is over, Trevor goes to pack up his stuff, until Derek shows up to ask what he was doing. Derek approaches Trevor as he says that Derek could be with Kristal now, but Derek explains that he didn't want that. Derek acknowledges that it was his fault too, since he was hungry to have the show back, but he forgot what made it special to begin with; hosting the show alongside Trevor. And Derek offers to leave with Trevor, taking his hand and leaning close to kiss him right before Kristal walked in, ready to offer them a deal in which they got to keep the show.

Right as Derek expresses doubts about Trevor showing up, Trevor knocks and enters the dorm room, explaining that he was the new roommate. Derek appears annoyed by him immediately, and Trevor complains about the smell of weed, which was for Moose's anxiety; also adding that they shouldn't do it in the dorm room. After Moose leaves, the two start to talk. The two explain their respective majors; Derek having a major in creative producing, and Trevor having a major in theatre. Derek also berates Trevor's major; questioning if there was money in it. Trevor also appears annoyed by Derek's confidence and his messy socks. When Derek arrives back at his college, Trevor seems upset about the bathroom being messy, but Derek simply tells him “What the hell do you want me to do?” Trevor asks Derek to pick up after himself, only to have the dropped soap thrown at him. Trevor appears upset about this, and he then picks up a towel and whips a giggling Derek with it, eliciting a fell cry. The two then start fighting, with Derek grabbing Trevor by the neck and pulling him backwards into the shower with him, and the two land on each other, their lips touching; which they both find gross. Derek frustratedly tells Trevor to leave, so Trevor does just that. As Derek is in the studio, he appears upset about Trevor being his new replacement, which doesn't go unnoticed by the latter either. But after Moose fails to remain calm during the pitch, Derek steps in to help Trevor present the show; the two introduce the Immunity Totem together, seeming to be positively acquainted now. After the audition, the two still appear happy about each other's hosting, so they agree to work with each other more after their pitch was rejected.

In Disventure Camp: All-Stars, the two are bailed out by Kristal to serve as interns for the new season. Trevor developes a romantic attraction to Derek, however it goes unrequited. This makes Trevor upset, as well as seeing Derek immediately get along with the season's host, Kristal. But it still appears as if Derek and Trevor are good friends; Derek had happily suggested that Trevor tagged along with him and Kristal for dinner in Hungry like the Wolf, but he was forced to break it to Trevor that Kristal did not desire his presence. Trevor would be heartbroken to walk back to the production tent to see Kristal and Derek kissing, meaning that his hope of confessing to Derek had slipped through his fingers after previously having very little time to talk with him as well. Their relationship is further complicated with two events; Derek catching Trevor discussing something secretive with Emily, and Kristal having the intention of firing Trevor for his inability to show up for work. However, Derek apologizes and acknowledges his faults in State of Shock. Nevertheless, the friendship between the two goes right back to where they were before after they share a kiss, despite Derek's supposed relationship with Kristal. By What's Mine Is Mine, both Derek and Trevor manage to acknowledge their faults and become friends again in order to save the campers from Emily's attempt at causing an accident. And it's shown that Derek has begun to reciprocate Trevor's feelings for him, and it appears as if they've officially become a couple now. At the end of All-Stars, Derek and Trevor are given ownership of the show again; allowing them to host a fourth season.

Despite their rocky start, the two eventually developed a strong friendship and partnership, which sparked their shared dream of creating a reality show. Skipping several years ahead, the two are the hosts of Disventure Camp after having successfully concocted their show. They appear to get along well enough with little complications in their friendship, although Trevor was frequently annoyed by Derek's apparent disregard for the contestants' safety. The two frequently banter throughout the season due to their different views on how to treat the contestants, and both ultimately end up receiving their comeuppance at the end of the show's first season.

Trevor is almost the complete opposite of his hosting partner, Derek. He is shown as a kind but somewhat silly and naïve individual. During the first season, he is mostly the one who cares about the life of the contestants and the dangers of the challenges, which sometimes goes as the main reason of teasing from Derek and Jensen. Despite his sweet personality, he's far from not doing questionable acts for the sake of the show, this being confirmed when Gabby shows Tom that he and Derek had been murdering animals and keeping them in garbage bags, which goes as the main reason of his arrest at the end of the season.

Two years later when he returns on Disventure Camp: All-Stars as an intern alongside Derek, he's still shown to be a caring person, but this time we are shown another side of him. In the early episodes he's shown to be insecure and having trust issues, mainly because of Derek bonding with Kristal and because of Emily's constant teasing. However, with the latter's unexpected help, Trevor was able to gain the confidence needed to confront Derek about his feelings and sort things out once and for all.

This situation evidences that, despite Derek's evil nature when it comes to the competition, he seems to still care a bit for how he treats those who are close to him.
