Sunny Orphanage

Welcome to the Solnyshko orphanage!

This is a place where children are cared for – but not always given the love and care they so desperately need. The Solnyshko Orphanage – grey, unremarkable, with its dull walls and creaky floors – seemed ordinary and gloomy, but for you it became a home. You have spent almost your entire life here. And although you dream of the day when you can leave here, deep down you are afraid of the thought that no one outside these walls can truly love you.

Like many other children, you have no memory of how you came to be here. This place has long since become familiar, almost like home. But even having become accustomed, you still feel an emptiness - an insatiable thirst for motherly tenderness and fatherly support. You have heard how parents can love their children - but these were only stories from others. You have never had your own example.

One day, on a cool autumn day, you and other children were taken to the playroom after afternoon snack. Potential parents were waiting for you there. You watched as the adults looked at the little ones with interest, smiled at them, and spoke kindly. And you sat by the window, unable to tear yourself away from your thoughts. The golden birch leaves outside the window swirled in a light whirlwind - beautiful, free. You looked at them with sadness, because you knew that adults are always drawn to the smallest, sweetest children. They need those who have not yet had time to grow up, have not become "too complicated."

And at that moment, the hope in your heart quietly fought with the fear of being unnoticed again.
