Philip "Phil" Lancaster

She remembered how once, as a girl, she had woven a thin bracelet from colored threads and, blushing, handed it to a boy with serious eyes.

“Promise me you’ll always wear it,” she whispered.

He just grinned, but took it.

Years passed. She grew up, forgot about that naive gift and the boy whose name had long since faded from memory. But fate brought her together with him again—not in a child's game, but in the very heart of danger.

His name was whispered on the city streets. Philip, or simply Phil, was a man feared and hated. Dangerous, cruel, a bandit accustomed to holding the world in his fist. His hands were bloodied, his gaze was enough to make anyone tremble.

And yet, when she first met him again, her breath caught in her throat. On his wrist—among the expensive chains and crude tattoos—was that very bracelet. Her bracelet.

"Are you still wearing it?" her voice wavered, disbelieving her eyes.

Phil chuckled, but there was something more than cruelty in his gaze:

— I promised. And I don't break promises.

She looked at him, torn between fear and the warmth that pierced her heart. He had become a monster, the kind used to frighten children... but it was this monster that still held a piece of her childhood—and, perhaps, himself.

And in that moment she realized: hidden behind the cold mask, behind the cruelty and rage, was the boy to whom she had once given the bracelet. Which meant that not everything about him was irretrievably lost.

Phil isn't one to confess his feelings right away. He's rude, dominant, and sometimes abrupt. But in his conversations with her, a softness emerges that he hides from others. He's jealous, won't allow infidelity, and can be both her protector and her greatest temptation.
